@MisteriousChum The orginal Postal from '97 was straight up dark in the sense the Postal Dude was disturbed madmen who shot up random people because he thought they were going to kill him. Postal 2 is much more comedic and tongue-in-check. We don't talk about Postal 3. Postal 4 is one of those games burning a hole in my Steam library. I've heard it called "Postal 2 in HD" but that hardly sounds like a bad thing.

I highly recomend Half-Life. It holds up very well and there's no time like the present to play it because 11/19/2023, this upcoming Sunday is it's 25th anniversay. I know how I'm gonna spend that day. Postal 2 is also pretty fun. The dark, edgy, abrasive, and satirical humor is right up my alley. Allow the wacky weapons and people juxtaposed to doing mundane chores is charming. It also has the best healing item in all of videogames: the "health"-pipe. Both games are a fun time. Also this tier list makes me realize I've got quite a few of these games burning holes in my Steam and GOG libraries.

thanks for the recommendations! ive been meaning to play half-life for a long time now, it just has an amazing vibe. school might make me too busy to play half-life on its anniversary but ill try to check it out soon. postal 2 is also something i should check out soon... i originally heard controversial things about the postal series, but it sounds to me like its not meant to be taken that seriously.
